pmXperts is seeking a Project Cost Estimator who excels under limited supervision to join our onsite team in Greenville, SC. This role is crucial for the accurate preparation, coordination, and analysis of estimating data, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
- Proficiency in FAR 15 based estimating practices.
- Experience with cost estimating tools and software such as Timberline (Sage), WinEst, RS Means, Richardson, etc.
- Relevant certifications (PMI, AACEI) are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare estimates in compliance with FAR 15, ensuring all data is reconcilable to source data, and is the most current, accurate and complete.
- Utilize estimating theory and advanced techniques for quality estimates and analyses.
- Develop project coding structures, work packages, and assist in designing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for capturing cost components.
- Maintain and support the estimating database, including tracking escalation indices, productivity rates, and other vital information.
- Lead the development of total project estimates, coordinating with Engineering, Purchasing, and Construction groups.
- Prepare estimates for material, equipment, and labor, using design drawings and Material Take-Offs (MTOs), and apply costs to estimated quantities.
- Develop forced detail estimates with minimal engineering input and lead project estimate reviews.
- Provide proposal and basis of estimate support, defining the estimate's intent and use based on Proposal and/or Contract Terms.
- Conduct constructibility reviews and adjust estimates based on site conditions and project execution risks.
