Position Location: Remote (EST hours)
Job Summary:
Join our team in a crucial project aimed at upgrading and recompiling over 23,000 batch and online COBOL programs at PNC. As we transition to the new default COBOL compiler version 6.3 by the end of 2024, your role will involve identifying, recompiling, testing, and implementing these programs to ensure they meet the required standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in upgrading and recompiling approximately 23,000 batch and online COBOL programs
- Capture inputs and outputs for testing purposes
- Run tests against recompiled batch programs and compare outputs
- Collaborate with internal QE teams to prepare applications for testing
Skills:
- Proficiency in ZOS IBM COBOL
- Experience with IBM Job Control Language (JCL)
- Familiarity with Endevor Source Management
- Knowledge of CICS COBOL
- Ability to provide testing results to QE team for validation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with COBOL programming on mainframes
- Strong communication skills
