Job Summary Reporting to the Sr. Director of Quality Management, the Business Continuity Planner will be responsible for key deliverables within the Quality Management Team. Primary responsibilities with include the successful coordination of, and improvements to, the business unit’s Business Continuity Program. The incumbent will have additional responsibilities including but not limited to, audit support and creating/defining business processes. The Business Continuity Planner will be responsible for maintaining and improving initiatives within their scope of responsibility and providing executive status updates. Specific Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all activities and efforts associated with the business unit’s Business Continuity Program. Ensure alignment with corporate expectations and requirements Collaborate with internal stakeholders and SMEs to ensure planning for all levels and types of business disruptions. Create Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Crisis Management Plans (CMP) by engaging with senior leaders and other stakeholders. Maintain annual BIA process, reports/presentations then deploy strategic solutions to reduce risk. Conduct Table-Top exercises with realistic scenarios to help teams and business stakeholders prepare and act in the event of business disruptions Maintain close coordination with Disaster Recover Coordinator and work together to ensure full BC/DR processes and activities are and in place. Support conformance to internal business requirements Based on internal requirements (SOP, Work Instructions, Contracts), conduct process audits and gap assessments to ensure compliance Maintain appropriate records and artifacts in accordance with internal policies and requirements. Provide recommendations to business leaders and stakeholders for corrective and preventive actions. Work with leadership and key stakeholders to identify areas of business risk to prioritize efforts. Maintain other responsibilities as they are defined within the context of Quality Management and/or Business Continuity General Responsibilities Develop more efficient methods of work. Risk-based approach to maintaining responsibilities. Position Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience 4 years of relevant work experience in the development and implementation of IT Business Continuity policies and processes. Deep understanding of disaster recovery at both a technical and business level knowledge of Quality Management System requirements; ISO 9001:2015 Experience with quality audits/internal audits for conformance and compliance, highly preferred Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage several projects at once. Meticulous and detail oriented. Strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and written & oral communication skills. Proactive and strong team player. Ability to work independently and make decisions based on judgment and integrity. Works well under pressure. Project management skills combined with a sense of urgency and a proven history producing quality deliverables. Ability to respond to changing priorities and work under pressure.
