The ideal candidate will have a drive to learn Pneu-Dart products and possess critical thinking skills with acute attention to detail.
Position Summary
The primary role of a Projector Technician is to assemble and repair company created projectors (dart guns) according to Standard Work Practices, while working within a team-based environment.
Responsibilities:
- Building various types of projectors for the animal and livestock industry
- Diagnosing, repairing, modifying all projector types based on customer need
- Safely test-firing production units
- Operating a CNC lathe, manual mill and other machines to complete job tasks as needed
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed on customer equipment
- Repairing damaged components and correcting malfunctions
- Bluing barrels and various components
- Following compliance regulations, including but not limited to ATF, Department of State, and the Bureau of Industry and Security.
- Participate and contribute to continuous improvement projects, across various departments
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General machining skills
- Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small parts
- Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail, necessary to troubleshoot production and assembly issues
- Ability to identify problems or malfunctions with equipment
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
Accountabilities:
- Learn products, manufacturing processes, service policies, and the research/science behind Pneu-Dart products. Specifically, learning Projector design and assembly will be of primary importance, including how RDD’s function within the projector.
- Learn to assemble and repair all Pneu-Dart model projectors
- Learn to navigate projector-related functions within Pneu-Dart’s computerized order management system
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Mental and Physical Requirements:
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to follow standard work processes and procedures (SWP’s)
- Physical activity including:
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Fine motor skills, hand manipulation
Salary : $37,000 - $42,000
