Purpose of the Position: Drivers are responsible for safely operating van-type company vehicle. The primary objective is providing safe, reliable and efficient transportation for students with behavioral issues to and from school and other school related activities and/or arrangements.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

This position requires the flexibility of working a split shift.

- Perform tasks correctly and according to policies and procedures.
- Safe operation of vehicles, including adherence with all laws and specific driving techniques to minimize the risk of accidents and incidents.
- Monitor students during transportation.
- Maintain and complete daily required records i.e., Van Attendance Logs, Van 1:1 Logs, Van Behavioral Logs, and Fuel Man purchases.
- Follow safety procedures for loading, unloading, and securing all passengers.
- Run program errands, including but not limited to, package deliveries, late runs, transporting students to workability events and other appointments as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper operation of vehicle, including on-board equipment, and report conditions which require repair and/or maintenance on the vehicle.
- Maintain the vehicle in a neat and clean condition.
- Four-point securement of wheelchairs and scooters, if needed.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

- High School Diploma, equivalent or two-year degree, or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
- Experience working in a school or treatment setting for students with learning or social/emotional problems.
- Clean DMV record and a valid driver's license.
- Drivers must be over 21 years of age.
- Able to read and use a map or GPS.
- DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance.
- Driver's License (Required)
- Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes
- Requires frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting 50 or more lbs.
- Must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction.
- The noise intensity level is moderate to high
