Overtime Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000 per year

- Acts as classroom teacher providing support and/or monitoring all areas of the individualized education plan.
- Administer, transfer, and interpret diagnostic data as appropriate to their area.
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
- Adapt the curriculum with individual plans and instructional materials to the needs of each student.
- Evaluates student academic and social growth, maintain appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.
- Maintain a program inventory of materials and supplies.
- Submit budget request needs.
- Promotes inclusion opportunities for students and collaborates with general education teachers as appropriate to student needs.
- Maintain accurate and compliant paperwork for IEP caseload including quarterly progress reports.
- Maintain professional and consistent communication with team members (e.g., teachers, parents, administrators, etc.)
- Direct and supervise paraprofessionals
- Support and implement use of assistive technology including, but not limited to augmentative communication devices.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Education from four-year College or university
- An appropriate and current Arizona Teaching Certificate in the field of Special Education (i.e., applicable to position seeking)
- Hold a current AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes
- Requires frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting 50 or more lbs.
- Must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction.
- The noise intensity level is moderate to high
