**Hiring Bonus** We're hiring a Behavioral Aide to provide services in Oakland, CA!
Effective 8/23/2022 You are eligible to receive a one-time hiring bonus in the gross amount of $1,000.00. This bonus will be paid out in two separate payments. The first half ($500.00) will be paid on your third paycheck (approximately upon completion of 45 days of employment) and the second half ($500.00) will be paid after completing 6 months of continuous employment.
Who We Are: Point Quest Pediatrics focuses on providing meaningful and functional behavioral, mental health, and speech and language services to students ages 5 to 22 years of age. Pediatrics strives to equip each student with the skills and strategies needed to successfully execute their academic program in the least restrictive environment possible. Pediatrics partners with contracting school districts to assist them in serving their students who qualify for services and assessments as outlined in the student's IEP.
Pay Range: $17-$22 (depending on experience)

PURPOSE OF POSITION: As a full-time Behavioral Aide, you will help facilitate a learning environment that meets each student's individual academic and behavior needs, administer positive reinforcement via our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system, and support students in making educational and behavioral progress. You will be part of a team that helps these students to acquire the necessary skills they will need to succeed by providing guidance and unconditional positive regard.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide academic and behavioral support to a Special Education student.
- Work closely with district teachers and other support staff to meet the needs of the student in the home and out in the community.
- Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, school employees, parents, and students at all times is key.
- Maintain a safe environment for all individuals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as needed.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable environments and use sound judgment.

MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior to employment, degree verification must be provided (minimum level of education accepted is High School diploma/GED)
- Required experience working with children/adults (in a school setting, as part of an outreach program, respite care, childcare, etc.)
- Preferred experience in Applied Behavior Analysis
- DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
- Pro-Act, CPI, and/or CPR certification helpful
