About the Position :
A Tutor possesses special skills or training in a specific subject area or field, who is employed to provide individual or small group instructional reinforcement.
A tutor may be a currently enrolled Polk State student or a person with an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree, or an equivalent number of credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university.
Tutors must demonstrate proficiency in the subjects in which they tutor and have taken and passed with a grade of "B" or better in the course(s) in which they will tutor.
Essential Functions / Duties :
- Provide individual or small group instructional reinforcement for disabled students.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times regarding student, office records, and information.
- Performs all tasks with a friendly, professional work attitude at all times.
This position is an OPS position on the Supplemental Salary schedule for 15.00 / hr.
