POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the HR Manager, the Recruiter will lead, oversee, and execute full-cycle recruiting and onboarding efforts for the manufacturing plant of approximately 270 team members. The Recruiter will engage in strategic sourcing, outreach, recruitment marketing, and talent acquisition efforts. The recruiter will also manage the company’s U.S. college recruiting and internship efforts and partnerships. In addition, the HR Recruiter will engage with senior leadership and business partners to forecast and develop strategy to attract and retain top entry-level and skilled trade talent in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
Sourcing, Recruiting, and Talent Attraction
Coordinate with business partners, managers, and HR leadership to determine recruiting needs and best practices.
Create job descriptions and post open positions online on various platforms.
Find and source potential applicants using mediums such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and other digital and non-digital mediums to build a robust candidate pipeline.
Maintain pleasant, consistent, and thorough communication with candidates regularly, ensuring they are informed of the recruiting process.
Sell company benefits and perks to interested job candidates.
Screen applications and resumes for job fit and conduct pre-employment screenings to determine candidate eligibility and job fit.
Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process
Execute creative recruitment marketing efforts including but not limited to billboards, outdoor signage, and other digital recruiting mediums.
Oversight of Recruitment Policies, Processes, and Projects
Create and update recruiting and hiring policies as industry and legal guidelines evolve.
Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and lead enhancement and continuous improvement projects.
Execute a consistent, compliant, and well-documented recruiting process for all hourly and salary positions across the company.
Maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all positions.
Onboarding and Orientation
Collaborate with HR Coordinator to ensure a smooth and consistent onboarding and pre-employment process for all new hires.
In the absence of the HR Coordinator, schedule and execute pre-employment screenings including drug screenings and background checks.
Manage the adverse action process as needed.
Facilitate weekly new hire orientation for hourly and salaried positions.
Applicant Tracking System Oversight
Maintain updated training manual for the Applicant Tracking System.
Implement system changes for recruiting-related tasks.
Train new hires and staff on ATS usage.
Consistently use the ATS to manage the company’s talent pool and open positions.
Candidate Selection and Offers
Engage with hiring managers to help assess and select top candidates post-interview.
Develop offer packages and offer letters for top candidates.
Perform reference checks and workplace assessments, as needed.
Recruiting Strategy, Analysis and Forecasting
Accurately track and report weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual recruiting stats and trends.
Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
Coordinate with Senior Leadership, HR Manager, and Business Units to develop recruiting strategies.
University Recruiting and Partnerships
Lead U.S. college recruiting efforts including coordinating college visits, scheduling university recruiting events and interviews, onboarding interns and recent grads, and planning the summer internship program.
Work with partner universities to plan university engagement and recruiting events.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of Human Resources experience
At least two years of recruiting experience
Experience recruiting in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
HR experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Hands-on experience with various sourcing and selection processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Human Resources or a related field
At least five years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment preferred.
Experience using Ceridian Dayforce is an asset
Extensive knowledge of best interview and applicant screening methods
Working knowledge of U.S. hiring laws, policies, and compliance
