Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the bottling, kitting, packaging and shipping operations in a fast-paced, rapidly growing consumer products business. Duties and responsibilities include the safe, efficient operation of all departmental operations including the leadership and management of production and shipping personnel. Driving meaningful progress in the areas of Safety, Customer Satisfaction & Productivity will be the main focus of this position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Be recognized as the leader on the 2nd shift operations through a combination of cultural, technical & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust quickly to changes in priorities.
- Work with the customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction and proactively address any concerns.
- Thorough understanding of modern manufacturing principles including lean concepts.
- The ability to train, lead & effect accountability in a workforce.
- Plan and supervise the day-to-day production activities in the plant including the tracking of key performance metrics.
- Ability to use an ERP system to synthesize a consolidated production plan.
- Lead a comprehensive communication plan to engage employees in the day to day operations
- Conduct employee performance reviews, skill assessments and identify development gaps; suggest training needs to HR
- Ensure that employees follow all company safety procedures
- Present and maintain a positive attitude with regards to Polytek management policies and instructions and follow all rules set forth in Polytek’s Employee Policy Manual; including promoting continuous improvements, 5S, and striving for excellence
Required Education and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal &written.
- Proficient in Office 365.
- Bachelors degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
- Proven supervisory/leadership experience in a fast-paced consumer-oriented business.
- Experience with automated bottling & filling equipment preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations pertaining to the chemical industry
- Self-motived and able to work as a team member.

- Talk, hear and vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Repeatedly lift and distribute up to 50-pounds of material
- Bending, squatting, walking, and standing for a full shift; repeatedly ascend/descend short flights of stairs/ladders
- Wear an air-purifying respirator on an infrequent basis and possibly wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in the event of an emergency
