Job Description
We are currently seeking an IT Manager in the San Jose, CA area. The IT Manager will own the delivery of all IT Infrastructure projects across the West Region. The IT Manager acts as an interface between the IT leadership, technology-focused engineers in the IT organization, Project Managers, delivery partners and business facing IT Teams. This role will encompass all West Region sites and multiple Infrastructure functions - Security, Datacenter, Network, Unified Communication and more that would be required for various projects.
Schedule would be 3 days onsite, 2 days remote with some flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- The role must be able to translate the IT requirements and constraints of the business / IT Team into technical control requirements and specifications, as well as develop metrics for ongoing performance measurement and reporting.
- Works with IT leadership to develop strategies and plans to address risks, issues, resolve problems and lead virtual teams.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key Business Leaders in the West Region and provides regular communication on project status and expected deliverables with project managers.
- Coordinate the delivery of project across PM, Business, Vendors and IT leaders.
- Recommend and coordinate the implementation of process and technical controls to support and enforce global standards.
- Drive multi-million dollar infrastructure spend decisions. Understand various IT infrastructure standards and their impact on the cost.
- Drive a cost optimal solution as per local business needs that meets the Stryker global technical and security standards.
- Mentors and leads team members outside span of control to ensure long-term effectiveness and growth. Acts as an agent of positive change at Stryker and takes on special assignments outside the job scops.
Qualifications:
- 10 years' experience in IT/IS, with a track record of success in a variety of roles (projects, strategy, liaison with business leaders) and IT functions (Network, Video Conference, Security, Applications)
- Training/Certification: ITIL, Network, Video Conference equipment
- Experience working with global teams and complex operating environment (Fortune 500 or similar).
- Experience on ITIL/ISO standards and compliance.
- Development and execution of global strategies (including planning, financials, PM, change management).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; enjoys sharing knowledge and teaching.
- Strong collaboration skills and cross site interaction experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think laterally, both tactically and strategically.
Salary : $55 - $65
