The Financial Planning Associate will be responsible for a wide variety of the financial planning, relationship management and client services we provide for our clients. In collaboration with our Senior Lead Advisors and other team members, this individual will focus on several key areas of the client experience including but not limited to – financial planning and case preparation, insurance planning, client presentations, client service and follow through.
FINANCIAL PLANNING & CASE PREPARATION
- Preparing financial plans, agendas, and illustrations for new prospects
- Provide input on planning strategies and recommendations to be presented to the prospects
- Preparing needed paperwork for Lead Advisors (LA) and Senior Lead Advisors (SLA) that will be needed for client meetings
- Develop the financial plan and work with clients to full implementation PRESENTATION AND CLIENT REVIEWS
Preparing insurance and financial planning case notes, creating visual aids, identifying additional planning opportunities, and preparing in force reports for review meetings
Participate in client meetings as needed for sales opportunities and relationship management, can also conduct client meetings independently
Expertly familiar with client-facing technology and able to conduct onboarding meetings with clients to educate and familiarize them with using the technology CLIENT SERVICE
Follow up with clients as needed for execution on planning or service items, additional information, or any other requests of the LA or SLA
Develop and enhance client relationships with the firm through service and planning interactions held face to face, via email or phone
Develop and maintain relationships with key partners (internal and external) to create a quality client experience –, Wholesalers, Insurance Brokers, Home Office, etc.
Resolve client issues with company technology platforms
TEAM DUTIES
- Actively participate in all team meetings conducted to positively impact the culture, productivity, and expertise of the team
- Maintain and ensure compliance through all actions taken throughout your role
- Maintain relative continuing education (CE) for all active licenses and designations
- Provide backup support for insurance service, new business, and financial planning as needed
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 years of experience as a comprehensive financial planner
- CFP designation preferred or obtainable within 18 months of hire
- Indiana Life & Health License required
- Series 7 & 63 required
- Good range of financial services knowledge and ability to expand that range
- Clear communication skills, particularly in explaining financial principles and concepts and being able to communicate those face to face, over the phone or via email
- Strong attention to financial detail
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and move with changes in client situations and financial markets
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
