We are currently looking to hire a sales associate for our boutique store in beautiful Cold Spring NY. This position is part time 10-15 hours per week, with weekend availability required. Associate pay range is $16-$19/hr depending on experience.
Our ideal candidate likes fashion, is eco-conscious, and is into supporting small businesses and communities. Being friendly and outgoing is our top priority to make visitors feel welcome and excited to check out our shop. We are not commission based to encourage genuine interactions with customers, many of whom are local and part of our loyal community.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for sales and customer service in an energetic retail store setting
Process transactions using Square Retail POS system to ensure the accuracy of the inventory while providing excellent service
Maintain product merchandising, replenish products, and keep the store looking clean and displays fresh
Maintain a safe and clean retail store work environment
Communicate clearly through daily notes and closing emails
Maintain a high level of product knowledge, current trends and internal marketing campaigns to create ownership of the space and consistent customer messaging across our team
Assist with boutique events and general marketing tasks as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
1 -2 years of previous customer service experience a must in preferably in a retail/boutique setting
Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, friendly, upbeat, and helpful demeanor is a must
Experience with cash-handling and a POS is preferred
Creative, self-motivated, assertive and takes initiative, dependable, trustworthy and consistent
At least one weekend day availability required
Must be able to perform all store opening and closing duties independently
