Summary
Resident Program Coordinator (RPC) is an entry level leadership position that will provide support to the day to day operation of all resident homes through professional intervention and oversight. Plays a key role and active part of the nursing leadership team by partnering with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) to lead day to day nursing operations that enhances quality and builds capacity. Responsible for secondary support of day to day operations on the clinical floor. Supports alignment of programs with current federal, state, and local regulations and evidenced based guidelines. Contributes to organizational operations through the principles of high reliability to support the mission and a culture of safety.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Clinical
Oversees residents medication management, coordinates refills and prior authorizations with providers; ensures residents do not run out of medication
Provides direct skilled nursing procedures to residents as needed, and delegate nursing tasks per state regulations
Supports the residents day to day clinical care and alignment with the residents care plan
Be available during business hours (Monday Friday 0900-1700 excluding observed holidays); flexibility of schedule to support call outs or transports
Documentation
Ensures admission and appointment orders are collected and transcribed correctly in electronic medical record
Oversees medication refills to ensure timely receipt of medications and completes medication reconciliation on a regular basis as defined by the DNS
Leadership
Collaborates with DNS in planning, evaluating, and implementing the level of nursing care necessary to meet residents needs and ensure the highest level of physical, mental, social well-being where resident rights are fully recognized
Assists in the coordination of program services and activities; participates in ongoing evaluation to improve quality and efficiency of services
Carry out duties within the nursing scope of practice established by license
Serve as a resource to the DNS for special projects
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Nursing and two years of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable populations
- Current state RN license
- At least three years of experience in leadership roles in a nursing environment
- Must pass a State and Federal Background Check, including fingerprints
- Valid State Drivers License
- Must maintain current vehicle insurance
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR
- Current Food Handlers Permit or within 30 days of hire
- Proof of licensing required vaccinations
- Abuse Prevention Systems Sexual Abuse Awareness Training within 90 days of hire
- DDA Developmental Disabilities Specialty Training within 90 days of hire
- Must acquire and provide proof of 30 hours of CEUs per year
