Poppins Productions is seeking to bring aboard Graphic Design Intern to join our team in aiding our corporate office and sister organizations, Poppins Extensions Plus and Poppins Urban Podcast, and Mary Essence. We need a knowledgeable and dependable individual with an ability to be innovative and work well under pressure, especially as it relates to the entertainment and beauty world.
Graphic Design Intern
Graphic Design Intern is responsible for assisting Graphic Design with a range of print, social, and website projects, such as collateral materials and graphic. The Graphic Design intern will be working with and alongside different divisions across the organization boundaries: Social Media, Marketing, Content & Blog Writer, Website & IT, and Public Relations.
Job Description:
Their duties include but not limited to
- Create and design print and digital materials
- Create and adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects in accordance to establish deadlines
- Retouch and manipulate images
- Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media
- Collaborate with the Creative Director or leader to develop design concepts
- Received and accept feedback from leadership and team members and make necessary changes
- Assemble final presentations material for printing or digital distribution
- Work collaboratively with other departments heads and employees to update internal internet site
- Supporting other departments and teams with various tasks
- maintaining files and records with an effective filing system.
- other assigned task as needed
Qualifications:
- Associates, Bachelors, or currently enrolled into an accredited college or university (preferred and but not required) - Graphic Design major preferred
- Previous coursework and volunteer experience and/or 1-2 years of professional work experience will be considered as well.
- Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
- Experience with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar software
- Strong creative and analytical skills
- Compelling portfolio of graphic design work
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Excellent content creation and writing skills.
- Fantastic time management skills with the ability to multitask.
