What are the responsibilities and job description for the INTERN position at PORT Health?
Port Health’s mission is to improve the lives, health and well-being of individuals and families dealing with substance use and mental health disorders. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated intern to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team designed to provide or arrange access to a full continuum of care for adults.
What You’ll Do
Port Health services provides one-on-one and group counseling for clients with substance abuse and/or behavioral issues. As an intern, you will complete your clinical rotations as part of a team. You will maintain clinical documentation according to program and Medicaid standards regarding service provision, assessment, and progress reports.
How You’ll Benefit
This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, you will learn how to use skills acquired in school and apply them in a professional setting to gain a better understanding outpatient therapy, substance abuse and medication management.

To join our team, you must be currently enrolled in Graduate Level Mental Health program. To be successful in the clinical rotations, you must possess the below skills:
