Table Games- Floor Supervisor
General Position Summary:
Responsible for pit area assigned to during regular shift, which includes overseeing table games and dealers, enforcement of rules and regulation of games and customer service up to and including disputes between customers and dealers.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Promotes Clearly Superior Customer Service and guest relations at all times
- Oversight of games in progress, players and employees assigned to pit
- Responsible for safeguarding company assets during assigned shift
- Ensures proper payouts and cash transactions between dealers and guests
- Dispenses cards and dice, after examination for irregularities
- Settles any customer dispute within assigned pit
- Enforces all rules and regulations related to table games in assigned pit
- Responsible for maintaining proper table loads through fills and credits
- Tracks and rates players
- Responsible for correcting table games dealer errors
- Trains and monitors performance of personnel to ensure smooth and efficient game operation
- May act as a Box Person and will report to the Floor Supervisor assigned to that specific pit (the Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities mirror that of the Supervisor)
- May Act as a dealer and floor supervisor during the same shift provided documents are not processed as both dealer and a floor supervisor
Secondary Functions:
- Responsible for the general overall management of pit assigned during regular shift
- Other duties as assigned by Shift Manager
Specific Job Skills:
- Two year of table games experience, multi-game dealing experience required
- One year of dual rate floor supervisor’s experience
- Ability to interact with table games employees and communicate in a positive and respectful manner
- Demonstrated ability to understand and supervise all games dealt in the casino
- Excellent attendance record for one year, 90% or better
- No discipline warning in personnel file for one year
- Excellent performance reviews for the past year
- Working knowledge of personal computers or the ability to learn
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Some management or leadership training helpful.
Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working in the pit area with other floor, table games dealers, TGC and Security at different times. Other conditions include working shifts during the day, nights, weekends, holidays, and late hours. Additional working conditions will include extended periods of sitting and/or standing, working in a smoky and noisy environment, with frequent interruptions.
Physical Requirements:
Manual and finger dexterity for operation of computer and routine paperwork. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
