Job Summary
Assist in leading the retail team and overseeing day to day operations. You will help foster a culture of teamwork and mentorship of future company leaders. Strong communication will be at the forefront of team building. You will oversee sales, security, compliance, reporting and cash management procedures related to operating the retail store. The Assistant Manager will work with the team and upper management to ensure KPIs and Store Goals are met and exceeded.
General Accountabilities
- Ensure all other Job accountabilities are completed.
- Use reports available to make informed decisions to drive sales and achieve goals.
- Manage, supervise, and direct the activities of the provisioning center and team
- Drives business results by maximizing daily sales plans, managing expenses and improving metrics through sales floor leadership
- Provides consistent developmental feedback that empowers and motivates our team and fosters a team environment by using effective communication skills
- Address issues that arise from employees or customers (complaints, grievances etc.)
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
- Oversee and manage product inventory
- Ensure the provisioning center remains compliant with security, inventory, and local and state regulations
- Use reports to determine buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.
- Use tools available to train fellow employees on Products, sales goals and KPIs.
- Work with the marketing department to achieve sales goals and store KPIs.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement and maintain store goals, protocols, policies and procedures in accordance with company standards
- Build the brand and provide a thriving environment that is focused on delivering exceptional in-store brand experiences
- Work with Brands and the Marketing department to set vendor days, new product drops and push brand specific sales and promotions.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to manage store promotions and events and customer communication across all platforms.
- Ensure SOPS are followed by all employees.
- Work with Manager and Inventory controller to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
