A note about COVID protocol: The Peace Choir values the health and well-being of our choir community (singers, accompanist, director, and their families) above all. The Steering Committee continues to evaluate the risks of gathering for rehearsals and performances, considering the most recent research findings and recommendations. Our plan to resume Choir rehearsals in early January is contingent upon continuation of the downward trend in infection and hospitalization rates and current knowledge of how to minimize the risk of spreading the disease.

The Steering Committee will coordinate with the Interim Music Director and Accompanist to prepare for the spring season kick-off in January, and communicate frequently with both as to a revised re-opening date if delayed due to COVID.

As we reconvene, we will continue to observe recommendations of the CDC, the State of Oregon, and local jurisdictions; requirements of Cherry Park United Methodist Church, where we hold rehearsals; and any additional precautions recommended by the Steering Committee.
