Veterinary Anesthesia Recovery Technician

Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care (PVESC) offers the highest quality veterinary referral and emergency medicine. We have two locations, both in Portland, Maine. Our specialties include surgery, anesthesiology, internal medicine, oncology, neurology, dermatology, emergency critical care, ophthalmology, and cardiology. Emergency veterinary services are available 24/7/365.

We have an opening for a full-time, licensed veterinary technician or experienced assistant to join our growing hospital. If you are interested in intricate, amazing anesthetic procedures and surgeries, this is the position for you. This position will enable you to learn and diversify your skills.

The anesthesia recovery technician is responsible for all aspects of surgical nursing, including diagnostics, administering and monitoring anesthesia, treatments, admitting and discharging patients, surgical assisting, post-op care and recovery, and more. Experience in anesthesia and surgery is preferred, as is flexibility. We focus on high-quality, supportive, and personalized care for our clients and their pets. You will be able to utilize your skills to the fullest.
