Summary: The Divisional CFO works in conjunction with the senior leadership aligning the financial management of the Division with the long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. The Divisional CFO is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the Division in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Essential Duties:
- Plans, develops, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the Division fiscal function and performance.
- Participate in the development of the Division’s strategic plans and programs as a trusted business partner.
- Establish creditability with senior management as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the Division through financial analysis.
- Take a leadership role in key commercial projects, M&A transactions and other strategic transactions, including company-wide / headquarter initiatives.
- Oversight and preparation of financial and KPI reporting
- Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the Division may enter, overseeing customer pricing and rate updates for profitability
- Support divisional Operational Excellence program development and management
- Enhances and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the Division by way of system and/or processes that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Division with emphasis on technology to automate routine work.
- Coordinate account recs, and monthly and annual accounting closings
- Oversee division customer billing and revenue accruals
- Be effective business partner and liaison with executives, operations, shared services, and JV partners
- Support analysis and development efforts at Joint Ventures
- Ensure that Division adheres to all financial internal control procedures and policies.
- Prepare Annual Budget and quarterly (or more frequent) rolling forecasts including preparation and review of CapEx plans
- Though presentations effectively communicate to the Executives, stake holders and Division staff the annual budget.
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Certifications):
- 4-Year college degree in Finance or related field.
- Ten (10 ) years’ experience in staff management within strategic finance role.
- Marine Terminal or transportation industry experience preferred.
- MBA preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Finance Applications, SAP BPC, and BusinessObjects a plus
