Job Summary:
The Bilingual Psychologist/SLP/ED Evaluator/ OT provides evaluations for students and families identified by the CPSE as a child classified with a disability and as outlined in the regulations of IDEA. To utilize principles of growth and development in establishing guidelines for implementation of the students’ goals, to enhance parents and teachers’ understanding of their child’s/students’ behavior and development ; train parents/teachers to create and implement behavior intervention plans; help parents become familiar with their children’s educational process; and facilitate the process of home-school communication in order to help and support the child meet his/her IEP goals towards possible integration, decertification from special education program or help and support the child meet his/her IEP goals towards other appropriate educational programs.
Qualifications:
Masters’ Degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution
Bilingual Extension to certification as a School Psychologist
Experience in assessing and treating preschoolers with a disability
Job Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical fellow, or Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped provides evaluation and treatment to children identified by the school district as a child/student with a disability as outlined in Part 200 Regulation/IDEA
The therapist utilizes principles of growth and development in establishing guidelines for the implementation of the child’s IEP.
The Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical fellow, or Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, provides services in conformance with all regulatory bodies governing this population, school policy and procedure and in compliance with the NYS Speech-Language Therapy Practice Act
Qualifications:
Fully Licensed Speech Pathologist (MA, MS, CCC, TSHH and/or TSLD, Bilingual Extension)
Responsibilities:
Evaluate children with known or suspected disabilities with IEP pages included as needed and Speech Authorization (only for Annual Reports).
Perform Hearing Screenings of children on caseload with suspected concerns and no Audiological on file. Follow-up with parent and teaching staff as to results.
Participate in planning/meeting with team members, the school district, parents and other members of the CPSE. Notify Supervisors, and TEAM concerning any suggested changes to IEP
Submit Reports to Supervisor for signature as needed (CF, Bilingual Extension, TSHH and/or TSLD)

Job Responsibilities:
Complete all required paperwork—comprehensive reports and supplemental outcomes generated from evaluations conducted, write up reports including result, recommendations and IEP pages goals
Provide extensive behavior modification techniques and informal behavior charts as needed (IDEA)

Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate students’ strengths and weaknesses to inform instruction
Schedule, provide and plan bilingual classroom special educational services for children with special needs through administration of a variety of educational techniques and materials.
Collaborate with other multi-disciplinary team members in the care of students regarding strategies to improve, correct and facilitate special education goals as mandated by the IEP.
Meet with family members in multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss the functioning level of students and discuss strategies to improve, correct and facilitate special education goals mandated by the IEP.
Provide instruction in native language and English
Utilize English as a second language methodology as appropriate
Provide resources and strategies to parents
Be aware of current behavior management techniques as mandated by a behavior intervention plan on the child’s IEP or team recommendations.

Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation to children identified by the school district as a child/student with a disability as outlined in Part 200 Regulation/IDEA
The therapist utilizes principles of growth and development in establishing guidelines for the implementation of the child’s IEP to provide treatment as able.
The Occupational Therapist provides services in conformance with all regulatory bodies governing this population, school policy and procedure and in compliance with the NYS Occupational Therapy Practice Act
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an institution accredited by the AOTA
New York State License/Registration
Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate children with known or suspected disabilities as pertinent to case assigned
Participate in planning/meeting with the school district, parents and other members of the CPSE
Provide treatment in accordance with the child’s IEP
Provide all required documentation within required time frames including daily notes, therapy sign in sheets, quarterly progress notes, IEP pages & updates and annual reviews
Provide instruction to families, team members and other support staff consistent with accepted practice standards
Instruct families in the use of prosthetic, hand splint, adaptive equipment or other assistive devices
Include the family in planning and treatment of the child
Obtain NPI #
Maintain confidentiality of pertinent student information
Additional Expectations:
Maintain malpractice insurance and registration certificate requirements
Complete professional development requirements
Complete annual training for Medicaid and Child Abuse every two years
