Job Title: On-Call Art Facilitator

Program: ArtAbilities

Company Summary: PossAbilities provides day services for individuals with disabilities in Olmsted County. All of our services are designed to be community focused while being person centered and promoting independence. In addition, we act as support for families across Southeastern Minnesota who self-direct the care of their loved ones.

Job Summary: The role of the Art Facilitator position is to mentor and support participants in art skill development, community experiences, and essential life skills. They provide this assistance in accordance with agency best practice and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the agency, and as directed by the Manager.

The Art Facilitator works under the supervision of the ArtAbilities Director as a member of the Art Abilities Team and models the mission, vision and values of the Agency in all interactions.

Starting wage is $17 per hour (based on experience).

Working Hours: On-call, part-time. Approximately 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday with flexibility (infrequent evening or weekend work).

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Must be able to work independently with individuals with disabilities and as part of a team in order to provide innovative, person-centered supports and services geared to each individual’s goals.
  • Perform personal care task, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation, toileting and health related tasks.
  • Complete and maintain required documents for services provided including but not limited to; daily documentation of activities, Individual Abuse Prevention plans, Individual Program plans and assessments.

Job Requirements:

  • Two year degree or certification in Human Services or field related to work in the Developmental Disabilities field or two years demonstrated experience in the arts.
  • One year work, volunteer, or life experience with persons with disabilities OR a combination of three (3) years education and experience
  • Must be able to successfully complete the Department of Human Services Background Study
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to adapt to and respect each individuals needs and preferences
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination required*
