Job Posting for Business Development Coordinator at Possible Project

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Possible Project’s social enterprises have two primary objectives:

  1. Educating and empowering students through authentic work experience
  2. Generating revenue to support programming.

In this role, you will work primarily within We Sell Possible - a TPP social enterprise where young people develop and apply skills for lifelong success by working in a growing corporate electronics refurbishment and resale business. Our We Sell Possible students learn how to take used electronics donated by our corporate partner and give them new life by selling through online marketplaces.

As we look ahead to the future and our ambitious expansion plan, we are seeking a Business Development Coordinator to join our growing, entrepreneurial TPP Enterprises (TPPE) team. You will play a pivotal role in helping us grow our regional donation strategy for used corporate electronics, define and expand our systems and infrastructure for goods donations and participate in day-to-day programming as part of our TPPE program team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Business & Youth Development Director, your key responsibilities would include (but are not limited to):

Business Development & Operations (approx. 65%): You will help manage the outreach to donation partners, and collection and intake of all products secured through our We Sell Possible donation drives. To run our business and We Sell Possible program, we rely heavily on the donation of used electronics from our network of donors. You will foster our existing partnerships and grow our network of donors to help us reach our ambitious goals. As part of this, you will also assume responsibility for matters including:

  • Business Development & Marketing: You will help us refine and execute our partnership and marketing strategies with a view to increasing partnerships and donations for our online resale business and supporting TPPE to meet its goals.
  • Business Systems & Processes: Help us use, develop, and refine business systems for donation intake and inventory.
  • Business Operations & Customer Service: Support all business operations and customer service related activities including inventory management, responding to customers, shipping logistics and maintaining high seller standards on our key sales platforms.

Student Coaching (approx 35%): You will help empower our students to reach their goals by coaching, teaching, supervising and mentoring students in our TPP Enterprises programming. You will provide input to help us further develop, support, and refine content, delivery, recruitment, retention, and evaluation. As part of this, you will also lead efforts including:

  • Learning & Evaluation: Help observe, measure and evaluate students’ performance and development, and maintain accurate and timely records of students’ progress.
  • Recruitment & Retention: Participate in TPPE efforts for recruitment, enrollment, retention, and performance.

Other duties: Perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of students and the organization. In addition, working within a growing entrepreneurial environment, every staff member is expected to provide support to the broader TPP team as needed.

This job description and list of requirements and responsibilities is general and is not meant to be exhaustive. This role may evolve over time based on organizational needs.
