We provide standard magnetic cores and accessories as an authorized distributor of several product lines and through our manufacturing services department we machine custom products to meet customer specifications.

The Process Engineer will interpret customer drawings and requirements to prepare quotes for custom products. This individual will work closely with manufacturing personnel to support the production efforts and assist in the resolution of Quality related problems for both Distribution and Machining. This is a hands on position and the individual must be willing to get their hands dirty.

Responsibilities

• Determine the tooling, inspection, machinery, processes and material required to satisfy the customer’s requirements and to maximize efficiencies.
• Initiate and Maintain all tooling drawings, customer drawings, Manufacturing Instructions (MI’s), and machine drawings using the DCN procedure
• For all EMS products, work with manufacturing personnel to determine the tooling, machinery and inspection equipment required to satisfy the customer’s requirements
• Work closely with other members of the organization, to determine most feasible solution for customer’s requirements.
• Maintain the part numbering, BOM, and MI files for Custom Machining.
• Make recommendations for process improvements for cost effectiveness without sacrificing quality levels.
• Develop and maintain the PM procedure and B.O.M.’s for all machinery and inspection equipment.
• Using our Quality system (Corrective Actions and Non-Conformances), work with suppliers, customers, and internal personnel to analyze and correct quality issues with distribution, gapping and custom products.
• Generate and maintain engineering departmental procedures.
• Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Assume a lead role in equipment layout and assist with recommended rearrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field. (AAS Degreed individuals will also be considered.)
• Engineering background in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Proficient in SolidWorks
• AutoCad proficiency
• PLC and basic ladder logic knowledge, preferred
• 3D printing knowledge/development of prototypes, preferred
• Must be detailed oriented and have a strong ability to work collectively to improve tooling, machinery and processes.
• Must be able to perform at a very high level of quality and have Quality in mind when making decisions and performing each function of the job.
• Thorough knowledge of basic engineering principles
• At least one year experience should be in an manufacturing engineering role, preferably dealing with ceramics and specifically magnetic core applications.
• Preferred at least one (1) year experience working in a process engineering role dealing with equipment and workstation layout in a production facility.
• Good working knowledge of personal computers and a Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Word, Excel
