Joint Operational Fires Effect Course (JOFEC) Instructor
Location: Fort Sill, OK

Clearance Type Required: Interim Secret (able to obtain Top Secret)
Position Summary:
Potawatomi Training, LLC (a federal government contractor) is seeking qualified JOFEC Instructors who will provide resident and mobile training team (MTT) JOFEC instruction to military, civilian and contractor students. Instructors will teach, develop and maintain Programs of Instruction (POIs) and lesson plans by incorporating lessons learned, doctrine, and current and evolving Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) into the POIs. Instructors will monitor, maintain and operate a digital classroom and computer network as part of the JOFEC POI, and develop simulated mission scenarios that support the JOFEC courseware. Instructors will make recommendations to the schoolhouse concerning current developments for input to all applicable Army, Joint, and DOD related publications.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Expertise in one or more of the four areas below:
1. USMC or USN Maritime Operations.
- Past assignments with two (2) years’ experience in the application of the following:
o Past assignments with two (2) years’ experience working within the FFCC, the MEF, the U.S. Navy CWC, the CSG, the NTACS, the NALE.
o Past assignments with two (2) years’ experience in the service and joint level targeting, fire support planning and coordination.
- Joint operational level is required for this SME
- Graduate of the Marine Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS).
2. Joint Targeting, Fires, and Effects.
- Past assignments with two (2) years’ experience in the following:
o Producing Electromagnetic Warfare target materials
o working in an Army Corps (or Marine Expeditionary Force) or higher targeting echelon.
3. Intelligence.
- Past assignments with two (2) years’ experience the following:
o Intelligence and Collection management
o Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE)
o Joint Task Force (JTF) intelligence support to targeting
o Sensor capabilities, limitations, and management
- Graduate of CGSC or the Air Force Command and Staff College, or Naval College of Command and Staff College.
4. USAF, USMC or USN Joint Air-Ground Operations.
- Experience in Fires TTP, employment, capabilities, organization of the USAF and the USAF AOC and joint air-ground operations
- AOC experience working air-ground integration in at least one of the following Divisions:
o Combat Plans Division
o Combat Operations Division
o Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Division
o Air tasking cycle
o Airspace Coordination and Air Control Orders (ACOs)
- Two (2) years’ experience in the service and joint level targeting, fire support planning and coordination.
- Two (2) years’ experience in joint fires and joint targeting, applying joint doctrine, joint policy, APEX, joint operations, airspace control for air platforms, and air delivered weapons .
- Graduate of the AOC Initial Qualification Course, and/or Joint Air Operations Command and Control Course. Graduates of Command and Control Warrior (Advanced Course will be considered most qualified)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to demonstrate the skill and ability to perform complex professional defense research and analysis tasks and develop innovative approaches and solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively and to clearly present technical approaches and findings. Able to present instruction to senior officers, NCOs, and DoD civilians at resident and MTT locations
- Able to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret security clearance and a United States Passport
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Graduate of JPME I and II a plus
- Qualified as JOFEC Instructor a plus
- Graduate of Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) (or service equivalent) within three years, OR a graduate of Instructor Training Course (ITC) that has actively taught at a service school within the past five (5) a plus
- Graduate of Small Group Instructor Course (SGIC) preferred
- Graduate of Systems Approach to Training Basic Course (SATBC), Training Development Capability (TDC) or equivalent preferred
