Maintain flow of lumber to planer feed table. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential functions satisfactorily.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $21.81.
Daily Job Duties:
- Keep lumber moving down chains by starting and stopping chain – constantly
- Straighten crooked boards by flipping and twisting.
- Manually pull off broken or damaged boards.
- Follow all applicable safety rules.
- Work regularly scheduled shifts.
- Work scheduled overtime – as required
- Clean up during down time using air wand, rake, and shovel
- Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Help maintain the feed table mechanically.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work any shift (Days, Nights, Weekends).
- Prior lumber mill experience preferred.
- Prior forklift/machine operations training preferred.
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, hard worker.
- Must be a safety-oriented individual.
