Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares assessments for the multi-disciplinary team describing patients' symptoms and reactions to individual group and family therapy.
• Plan and direct medically approved recreational programs for patients.
• Encourage patients to be involved in leisure activities.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Participate in recreational therapy programming.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Possess a master’s degree in art therapy from an accredited college/university.
• Possess a minimum of two (2) years’ experience within the past four (4) years providing Art Therapy.
• Current certification as a Registered Art Therapist from the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB).
• Provide two (2) letters of recommendation written within the last two (2) years attesting to the HCW’s skills as an art therapist. At least one (1) letter must be from a workplace supervisor who has personally observed and evaluated the HCW and who can attest to the HCW’s skills in the care of patients. The other letter may be from a clinic or hospital administrator, physician or nurse who has personal knowledge of the HCW’s skills in a similar environment. Reference letters shall attest to the HCW’s communication skills and ability to relate to patients as well as professional and other interpersonal skills among staff members and must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing reference.
• Must be a US Citizen.
