The VDC Assistant Plumbing Project Manager will support the VDC Project Manager and plumbing team in the planning, coordination, and execution of plumbing projects. This role involves using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to enhance project efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, project management, and VDC/BIM tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of VDC processes for plumbing projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely completion of VDC deliverables.
- Create and manage 3D models of plumbing systems using BIM software including Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP Fabrication.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams to resolve clashes and optimize plumbing system layouts.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including models, drawings, and specifications.
- Assist in the review and analysis of project plans and specifications to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of project schedules and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on VDC/BIM software and processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of field experience in the plumbing trade, with at least 3 years in a VDC/BIM management role.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications in construction, plumbing, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD MEP Fabrication.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and construction processes.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes.
- Revit Certification (or) 5 years of relevant professional experience (A Plus)
