As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician at Power Design, you'll have the opportunity to work for the largest distributor of Gamewell-FCI systems in the United States. You'll have access to innovative technologies in the field, including a fully-equipped iPad, and will be responsible for overseeing the installation, troubleshooting and commissioning of fire alarm systems on large-scale construction projects.

- As the technical adviser on fire alarm systems programming and configuration, work with installation team and local fire marshal to ensure that all code requirements are met.
- Act as a liaison between the project team, other trades and customers, partnering with the superintendent and foremen to ensure production is on track.
- Work with local jurisdiction (fire marshal) to ensure code compliance.
- Utilize technology such as company-provided iPad and smartphone to ensure the job gets done on time, adheres to the blueprints and specifications, and exceeds customer expectations.
here's what we're looking for...
- 5-8 years of related work experience, preferably with new construction, large commercial installations.
- Gamewell-FCI and/or Notifier certifications.
- NICET fire alarm certifications highly preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and construction safety requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- As the regional subject matter expert for life safety and fire alarm systems, must be willing to travel as needed and possess a valid driver's license.
