We are looking for a Quality Manager to successfully organize and manage all activities required to ensure that the PDI quality system is implemented, maintained, and continuously improved at all levels. Objective:
To successfully organize and manage all activities required to ensure that the PDI quality system is implemented, maintained, and continuously improved at all levels. These activities include quality planning, training, team development, systems auditing, root cause analysis/corrective action implementation, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and meeting cost of quality goals and objectives. Act as a "hands on" manager that is actively involved in the day-to-day activities as well as setting and implementing the goals and plans for short and long term objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
• 4 year technical degree preferred
• 5 years Quality Management
• Experience in quality systems - IATF -16949 Automotive Quality System preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop companywide strategic Quality initiatives and staffing plan to support activities in all locations
• Organize, implement, and manage all activities to maintain compliance IATF 16949
• Coordinate and direct activities involved in the corrective and preventive action process
• Analysis and reporting of quality issues including but not limited to: defects - internal, customer, and supplier
• Analysis and reporting of cost of quality including detection, evaluation and corrective action which contribute to the cost of poor quality
• Coordinate and direct activities involved in the calibration and maintenance of measurement and test equipment
• Coordinate and direct the Quality department activities in APQP and PPAP related processes
• Coordinate and direct the Quality department activities in development, maintenance, and revision of Control Plans and process FMEAs
• Maintain appropriate staffing (levels and skills set) to ensure efficient operation of the Quality organization
• Assist in the performance and analysis of results from system, process, and product audits
• Develop and report on quality metrics that ensure quality goals are met
• Improve process control through improved capability and error-proofing
• Mentor and provide guidance to Quality Team to increase skill set and provide a productive learning oriented work environment
• Establish/maintain continuous improvement processes that eliminate waste
• Develop or recommend quality related training programs and provide appropriate training to team members
• Provide exceptional customer service for both internal and external customers
• Ensure proper coordination of activities with other functional departments to ensure customer satisfaction and internal requirements are adhered to
• Develop and administer a Supplier Quality System
• Responsible for department budget.
• Communicate with suppliers and affiliates as needed to resolve issues to enhance the quality of products and services at PDI
• Other tasks as assigned by Corporate Management
