Entry-Level Biologist
We seek an Entry-Level Biologist to join our Eastern Biology Department. The position reports to our Foxborough, MA with fieldwork being within Massachusetts and Rhode Island areas. We offer a hybrid workstyle, a combination of office and home.
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with field assessments, permit submittals, and compliance monitoring for various ecological projects in the Northeast, with the opportunity to support projects across the country. The position involves supporting wetland and waterbody delineations, organizing and summarizing field-collected data, identifying protected plant species and related habitats, compiling survey reports, assisting with the preparation of permit applications, as well as construction monitoring, inspection, and oversight.
The position is primarily field based and may require long days outdoors in variable weather and terrain. Candidates must have a positive attitude, be prepared to work in difficult conditions and be eager to become a critical part of the POWER team. The candidate should have demonstrated exposure to field data collection and species identification, a willingness to work as part of the diverse and dynamic project team, and a commitment to grow through the development of new skills.
