Technical Document Specialist
POWER Engineers, Environmental Division is seeking a Technical Document Specialist in the Western region of the U.S. to support a diverse group of staff who provide environmental and engineering solutions to clients worldwide. This highly motivated professional will be part of a team that performs project support services nationally for our environmental staff.
The ideal candidate is a team player able to work in fast-paced situations while interacting with internal and external clients. This team member must possess a positive attitude and be able to provide a resourceful approach to assigned tasks.
This position will be in support of the Pacific Standard time zone with an option to work remotely ideally from the West Coast. A hybrid workstyle is also available based in office locations in Portland OR, Vancouver, WA, or San Diego CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving as a key contributor to the Division’s document quality control process by providing support with proofreading, compiling, and transmitting deliverables; and maintaining electronic files.
- Formatting of single author and multi-disciplinary technical documentation and reports prepared with various MS Suite products.
- Preparing document deliverable packages utilizing Adobe Acrobat.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
- A High School diploma is required/some college is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of applicable experience in a similar support role Advanced skills in MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook; and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience in technical content proofreading.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have exceptional multitasking abilities and organizational skills with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment responding to multiple internal clients.
Desired Education/Experience
- MS Word certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of environmental permitting/compliance projects is preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in a consulting firm and/or in environmental compliance is a plus
