ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are looking for a Back-End Python Developer to join our development group in building and improving our SaaS platform. As a Developer you will be part of a team of 5 to 10 talented colleagues and work at designing and implementing (and also testing, monitoring, debugging, refactoring, optimizing) the best platform to manage Clean Energy assets in the industry. You will be using latest technologies to do so. 

As a Developer, you will also have an important role to play within your team. You will be able to leverage each and every one of your skills to make your team achieve its goals. It could be either by mentoring others, strategize to maximize the value delivered, getting new knowledge and share it, bring energy, identify and reflect on team’s issue, contribute to continuous improvement or generate fun. 

Our platform, BluePoint, helps managing renewable energy plants, supporting the business of our customers. It also collects data points from several sources, cleanses it, detects occurring issues, and uses it to help manage thousands of renewable energy plants all over the world. BluePoint also adds the toolset needed to take make sure the plants are running smoothly, and that it can be profitable. 

Our office is in Munich, Germany, but you’ll be working remotely with us. We’re an international team spread throughout the world (US, Canada, Europe, India, Philippines, Sweden).

  • Participate in all activities related to application development 

  • Act as a Python specialist and stay on top of its newest technologies and practices in a Cloud environment

  • Contribute to your team goals achievement in any possible way, aiming for the organization objectives 

  • Be an active part of your team’s continuous improvement effort 

  • Acquire and maintain a good understanding of the renewable industry

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

This also means that you are effective at managing multiple projects of varying complexities, work well under pressure, and are driven by continuous learning and growth. Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following background: 

      • Degree in Computer Science, software engineering or equivalent 
      • Minimum of 2 years of related experience as Python Developer in a Cloud environment 
      • Very good knowledge of Python and design patterns 
      • Familiarity with Git is a must 
      • Familiarity with any of the following technologies is an asset: 
        - Django 
        - PostgreSQL 
        - Elasticsearch 
        - Redis 
        - Docker 
        - Kubernetes 
          • Good understanding of what is an Agile mindset (Delivering value, not just code) 
          • Result oriented but still attention to details 
          • Curious about new trends in technology and proactive
