Powered Research, a pre-clinical ophthalmology-focused CRO, is seeking a full-time research scientist (Research Scientist 1) to support our in vitro services department. Over the past few years, we have greatly expanded our in vitro offerings to further support the in life pre-clinical studies conducted at Powered Research.

We are seeking a driven, well-rounded scientist with broad expertise in cell biology, strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work both independently and, importantly, as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities:

· Supports the Department of In Vitro Services to execute various analytical methods including but not limited to ELISAs, immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry, light/fluorescent microscopy, western blotting, qPCR and associated data analysis

· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other scientists and research associates to accomplish goals on tight timelines

· Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to accurately document results according to best scientific practice

· Participates in Sponsor calls as needed to support the Study Directors on data analysis and interpretation

· Basic computer software literacy (MS Office) is required; laboratory-specific software (e.g. Prism, ImageJ) are a plus

Requirements: PhD in a related field (e.g. cell or developmental biology, biochemistry, molecular biology) or bachelor’s degree with 5 years of hands on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
