What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Powerex?
SUMMARY:
Perform or coordinate all facility maintenance requirements. These requirements will include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.

REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Engineer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Install new equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance of facility equipment.
- Trouble shoot and repair equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of facility.
- Coordination of outside contractors for repair and maintenance.
- Ensuring all work complies with all safety requirements.
- Operate forklift and other arial machines.
- Maintaining and renovating the offices including painting, carpeting, and moving furniture.
- Other duties as directed by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, flow charts, and wiring schematics.
- Experience in the use of hand and power tools.
- Experience in the use of a basic multimeter.
- Experience with painting both interior and exterior surfaces.
- Ability to assist with troubleshooting various issues with the building.
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues.
- Competent in use of computer (Word, Excel)
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull 501bs.
- Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking.
Education/Experience/Competencies:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Electrical or Maintenance certification or degree preferred.
- 5 years maintenance experience
- Forklift certificate or capability to pass required course.
WORK CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee might be exposed to noise. The noise level is usually moderate but hearing protection may be required in designated areas

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee will use their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
Salary : $44,700 - $56,600
