Summary:
The Warranty & Authorized Service Provider (ASP) Manager is responsible for the overall management and implementation of Powin’s Authorized Service Provider (ASPs) agreements including the coordination of Powin Energy and vendor resources required to successfully implement both Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) and open market contracts. The Warranty & ASP Manager will be responsible for determination and evaluation of “nonservice agreement” warranty claims, as well as response and execution of remedial work required to resolve such claims.
Job Details:
- Identify, develop and maintain strong relationships with ASPs or third-party service providers
- Collaborate with partners to ensure alignment with company’s goals and service standards for Powin
- Identify and qualify required ASPs, by region and discipline
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and other performance reviews with the ASP network. Understand and monitor, capacity, demand, location factors, response, and emerging technology qualification needs levering organizational data
- Contribute to negotiation of master service agreements (MSAs) to ensure viable network of MSAs aligned with business needs
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive performance of ASPs and meet requirements for safety, quality, on time delivery and cost efficiency
- In collaboration with field service, facilitate training of ASP personnel to Powin standards for BESS field maintenance
- Review performance of all ASP’s and establish tiering system to ensure best in class vendors are deployed in the most economic fashion
- Develop necessary process for ASP management workflow, to ensure controls for work order placement, time accounting and billing are implemented according to the supply agreements, interfaced to existing workflows
- Manage post construction warranty claims from customers, where no service agreement exists. Receive, acknowledge, disposition, and respond, including mobilization of ASP and Powin staff as necessary to complete field warranty work
- Maintain warranty data for analytical evaluation and campaign development aimed at reducing warranty exposure and events
- Provide expertise and assist in development of parts strategy to support nonservice agreement contracts. Collaborate with LTSA team and Procurement to develop recommended levels for parts inventory, locations and consumption
- Maintain data on parts consumption (through service system), by product type and style
- Develop necessary process and procedures to effectively and timely manage warranty claims from Customers and recovery from Vendors
- Manage recovery of warranty costs, where a path exists to recover such costs from vendors or partners. Develop and issue recovery packages to internal organization
- Ensure timely resolution of ASP warranty issues
- Act as the point of contact between Global Services department and ASPs to resolve any escalated issues and maintain a positive relationship
- Provide regular reports to Global Services management on ASP performance, Warranty, Parts, Cost analysis, and recommendations for improvement including defining and reporting on KPI’s
- Partner with internal teams to obtain quotes for ASP deployment as needed. Deliver oversight and support management of purchase orders for ASP work including general tracking of each ASP commitments and receivables to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Contract Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent education and experience required
- 5-7 years’ experience in delivering effective service solutions, preferable in the energy industry
- Variety of, Field Service, Project Management, LTSA expertise with Supply Chain/ Manufacturing/Industrial background
- Strong analytical skills with ability to write concise reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and Customers
- Ability to understand Contracts and capability to build strong relationships with Customers and vendors
- Strong customer and client service skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
- Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
