Description

Responsible for Creative Design, Drafting, Documentation and Production Art Execution in a timely and cost-effective manner in order to complete the graphic function of all design requests as required. The Design Department is responsible for developing creative and graphic design concepts into detailed documents, scaled technical drawings and design requests, as well as electronic production artwork for production and outside vendors.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform the graphic design functions as required in order to meet Sales and Production

schedule goals.

· Exercise sound decision making ability to bring timely feedback to the appropriate internal parties in order to facilitate the minimization of any non-scheduled events or delays.

· Attend and participate in cross-functional Kick Off Meetings, including internal job and Work In Progress meetings.

· Timely decision making, make tough decisions sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.

· Attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards.

· Convert written and spoken ideas into images, layouts and designs.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 

· Proven ability to create compelling designs that leverage client branding goals.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.

· Ability to translate manufacturing level detailed documents and drawings.

· Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, CAD Tools, Adobe Photoshop, and Corel Draw.

·  Ability to work on both Mac and PC platforms.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

· Highly organized with excellent oral and communication skills.

· Experience interacting with product design, engineers, architects and project managers.

· Working knowledge of typography, graphic letterforms, grid systems, page layout, hierarchy, logo, and branding design.

· Five plus years’ experience in a sign, environmental graphics or construction-based organization.

· Bachelor of Arts Degree in related field.

· Ability to translate basic engineering standards into proposed designs so that pylon structures and attachments details comply with Building Code requirements.
