PPEC of Palm Beach is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care center which was founded to serve medically fragile children in Palm Beach County. Requirements

The Education Enrichment Assistant engages with the children in our care by joyful stimulation through educational activities and play to promote learning and development. The following functions describe the essential duties of this role. Individuals in this role may not perform all these duties or may perform additional duties not listed here.

• Develop and implement strategies, activities, and lessons that align with a child's unique abilities and goals using therapeutic play and education to promote growth and development
• Provide one-on-one interaction with children for individual and planned activities
• Promote an engaging and caring classroom-like environment where children can learn and develop
• Assist the room nurse in providing daily care according to the Plan of Care, including changing, transferring, and repositioning children when needed
• Engage and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, as a vital member, communicating all vital information and knowledge of a child’s abilities and goals to ensure a clear understanding
• Assist room nurse on providing feedback, support, and guidance to parents
• Maintain and support a clean and safe environment
• Assist with meal preparation as needed
  
  

What We’re Looking For

Must Haves

• Have 2 or more years of experience in a pediatric care setting?
• CPR certification required
• Ability to pass a Level II background check?
• Ability to regularly lift and carry at least 50 pounds safely?
• Exceptional communication skills
  
  

Nice To Have

• CNA or other like certifications / licenses
• Secondary education in areas such as child life studies, child development, or early childhood education

Salary Description

$20.00 per hour
