What are the responsibilities and job description for the OLED Operations Leader position at PPG Industries, Inc?
As the OLED Operations Leader, you will manage the process capability, lead changes new product introductions and coach team members. You will support the growing OLED business and will work onsite in Barberton, OH.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure OLED production units are operated in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Lead 5 supervisors and ensure production records are accurate and meet the production schedule.

Assure the plant equipment is kept in good repair; schedule maintenance and ensure equipment is prepared for safe repair and inspections.

Ensure communication and coordination between shift operations and the engineering, EHS, and other support departments on site.

Assume a leadership role in the development and optimization of LEAN/Six Sigma-based continuous improvement processes, and work with engineering to implement process changes that improve safety and quality, and reduce product variability and increase efficiency.

Improve the training programs within the department, and work with team members to further develop their skills to ensure success in all roles.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline

8 years' experience in an industrial/plant environment
-
3 years as a supervisor/manager.

Experience with LEAN or Six Sigma
