What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at PPG Industries?
As a Plant Manager, you will establish and implement plans to meet corporate-wide goals, and communicate the vision for long-term success to plant personnel of the Reno facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Track financial data to ensure budgets and Profit and Loss goals meet plan.
- Prepare, provide, and present financial data on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ensure monthly metrics (safety, quality, productivity) are met or actions are in place to ensure goals will be met.
- Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
- Maintain a customer relationship that ensures quality, service, and pricing criteria are to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Work with Human Resources to develop the team, handle disciplinary issues, and help hire essential positions.
- Promote continuous improvement goals and development of the plant.
- Manage several subordinate managers and direct and evaluate these units.
- Engage with employees and customers to respond to questions and present information.
- Build and implement continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business or related is required
- 8 years' experience in a management role within the automotive production industry.
- Prior experience managing multi-shift operations.
Salary : $93,700 - $119,000
