What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician- Midnight Shift position at PPG Industries?
As a Quality Control Technician, you will validate intermediate and finished good properties of powder coating paint. You will contribute to the production process by applying, testing, and adjusting laboratory samples. You will be tasked with ensuring in-process production materials comply with established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct the raw material and finished goods' inspection & record.
- Work closely with production according to batch ticket instruction to attain good quality products.
- The inspection and testing of Products Intermediates and solvents manufactured on the shop floor, determining of any additions which need to be made to these products to pass the quality control requirements.
- Depending on the product quality, approving or rejecting manufactured products based upon the required testing.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a Laboratory environment (Ideally in a QC Capacity)
- Educated to A Level/ HNC in a scientific field, preferably Chemistry.
- Digital literacy required including Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
