As a Chemist in the Electrocoat and Pretreatment Formulation Capabilities Team, you will work with PPG’s synthesis, formulation and application professionals in the field of protective coatings to develop new product solutions to our customers. You will lead several technical tasks, including experiment planning, coating formulation, coating optimization, detailed coating performance analysis, and communication of results.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory activities supporting formulation, coating application, and coating evaluation.
Participate in project meetings and plan for project execution, including developing and evaluating ideas to improve coating performance.
Communicate results with clear reporting, develop corrective procedures, validate other technical information (in charts, tables, and reports) to technical and management in a atmosphere.
Work as part of cross-functional and cross-site teams.
Maintain a safe, organized laboratory in compliance with all established PPG R&D policies.
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Polymer Science, Coatings Science, Material Science, Physics, or Chemical Engineering
1 years experience in coating application, coating formulation, and customer problem solving.
Demonstrated hands-on research skills.
