PQ Corporation, a leading worldwide producer of inorganic specialty chemicals has an immediate need for an inside sales person located in the Philadelphia area. This salesperson is responsible for maintaining a current account base, while developing new opportunities and driving overall increased profitability in the assigned territory. This is a Malvern PA headquarters based position.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing a sales territory with multiple accounts (direct and distribution). Candidate should be used to dealing with technical/chemical based products. They will be responsible for coordinating all necessary activities to ensure customer satisfaction, product education and information flow to customers to facilitate additional business growth. Candidate will need to have timely and clear communications concerning customer issues and activities, develop relationships with different levels of a customer’s organization, and close on new business opportunities. This salesperson will be part of the North American sales team and will receive the same sales and technical training as the broader team and will be eligible for incentive pay based on sales performance.

To qualify for this position candidates must possess:
- B. S. Degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years’ experience selling into the Chemical’s industry, Inorganics preferred.
- Must be a self-motivated, proactive individual that is capable of operating independently as well as on a team, and able to adjust priorities to meet territory goals.
- Demonstrate a positive approach to collaboration and problem solving, both internally, and in customer engagements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Strong analytical skills needed to analyze territory sales data and technical information.
- This is an inside sales position, however there will be some travel needed for training, some select customer engagement and company meetings. There will be < 10% overnight travel required.
