Responsibilities
- Performs assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
- Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
- Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
- Assists in the preparation of design plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for projects.
- Assists in the preparation of calculations, quantities, cost estimates and other supporting documentation for projects.
- May perform plan drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- May assist in ARC GIS Pro map development and geodata inputs.
- May direct and review the work of Technicians.
- May serve as an onsite project representative on a construction site.
- High productivity, attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work well in a dynamic team environment.

EDUCATION / REGISTRATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university.
- Has an Engineering in Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Has related internship or other experience working in the Civil Engineering field.
