We are looking for a talented and dedicated QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. This role will focus on API testing with a strong emphasis on automation. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software's APIs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• API Test Strategy and Planning:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand API specifications and requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for API testing.
  • Identify and document testing scenarios and use cases for API functionality.
    
    
• Automation Framework Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using industry-standard to and frameworks.
  • Implement data-driven testing and parameterization for different API scenarios.
  • Continuously enhance and update the automation framework for maximum efficiency.
    
    
• API Test Execution:
  • Execute both manual and automated tests to validate API functionality.
  • Report and track defects using established defect tracking tools and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure prompt resolution of identified issues.
  • Should be an individual contributor who can deliver the releases on his own .
  • Having Experience on API is mandatory and experience on socket/Websocket communication would be added advantage.
    
    
• Continuous Integration and Deployment:
  • Integrate API test suites into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure consistent and reliable testing throughout   the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in automated deployment validation to ensure the API's integrity in production environments.
    
    
• Test Data Management:
  • Create and manage test data sets to cover various test scenarios, including positive, negative, and boundary cases.
  • Ensure the security and privacy of test data, adhering to data protection regulations.
    
    
• Test Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document test cases, test results, and testing progress thoroughly.
  • Generate and communicate detailed test reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date testing documentation for reference and audit purposes.
    
    
• Process Improvement and Best Practices:
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QA processes and methodologies.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies related to API testing and automation.

KEY SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3 to 5 years of experience in API Automation (REST/SOAP)
• Proven experience in API testing, including both manual and automated testing.
• Solid understanding of API architecture, RESTful principles, HTTP methods, and API authentication.
• Proficiency in Java is mandatory.
• Programming/scripting languages Python, or JavaScript is added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI) and automation           frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git,GitLab) and continuous integration tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Hands on experience in integrating automation scripts with Jenkins.
• Gaming domain experience (good to have)
