Pro Shop Attendant - OC

Responsible for assisting the Professional Staff in all aspects of Pro Shop operations, including administrative duties, guest service and maximizing merchandise displays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Greet and enthusiastically provide each golf customer/group with the course conditions, cart path rules, tee yardages, and any other pertinent information

· Responsible for making reservations and assigning the play of golfers

· Accurately processes the collection of retail and green fee sales by utilizing POS

· Making tee time reservations while working closely with the Starter/Marshal to ensure smooth operation and traffic flow on the course

· Ensures the Pro Shop and rental equipment are clean and in working order on a daily basis

· Coordinates displays, organizes storage for back-up stock, folds and straightens merchandise, oversees Pro Shop cleaning

· Opening and closing the Pro Shop according to procedures established by GM – Head Professional

· Assist in the coordination and delivery of services for golf tournaments and other special activities

· Communicates and enforces club rules including dress code and beverage policies

· Performs light custodial operations such as sweeping, mopping, washing equipment and collecting trash as needed

· Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same

· Functions as a Golf Cart Attendant as needed

· If 21 years of age and has obtained a High School diploma or GED, performs the duties of a Bartender

· Other duties as assigned by GM – Head Professional, Assistant Golf Professional

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required

· Must have excellent verbal communication skills.

· Must have knowledge of the game of golf

· Must have a valid driver’s license

· Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook

· Must be able to work independently and function as a member of a team

· A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment

Preferred

· High school graduate or equivalent

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

· Must be able to frequently stand, walk or sit for long periods of time.

· Must be able to frequently climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach.

· Must have close visual acuity in order to operate equipment.

• Must be able to work outdoors under conditions ranging from extreme hot to extreme cold.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (golf bag) and frequently up to 20 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
