Description
This is a temporary position to be filled at the Prairie Band Casino Hotel Completion project. A Forman, or Construction Forman, is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a worksite to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner. Their duties include hiring Construction Workers and trade professionals to perform specific tasks, monitoring budgeting expenses for Workers, supplies, or tools, and reviewing laws and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
A Foreman is a secondary supervisory role for a construction site. With their industry experience and training, people in this role should be able to direct, supervise and troubleshoot routine issues that occur on the job site. In addition to ensuring that safety rules are followed on the site at all times and helping develop work schedules based on employee and contractor availability, they will also be responsible for:
· With Superintendent direction, coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel
· Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and subcontractors
· Provide adequate resources and staffing via direction from Superintendent to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs
· Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures
· Helping develop and manage project budgets and quality standards for the Jobsite/project.
· Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably
· Regularly report project status to supervisors, site engineers, and other officials
