What Prairie Heights is looking for:
An experienced and passionate leader who is energized by seeing kids grow in their faith and passionate about recruiting and equipping volunteers to actively participate in the mission of Prairie Heights.
The Kids Leader will primarily be responsible for volunteer engagement and recruitment for kids birth-5th grade. We are looking for someone who will connect, grow, and empower volunteers, and engage with parents to help them guide and grow their children.
What will you do?
- Be the go-to person on Sundays and event days for volunteers and parents
- Regularly meet and build community with volunteer teams
- Scheduling and communication for volunteer teams birth-5th grade, including host/registration teams
- Ensure excellent parent and child experiences in rooms and large group
- Work alongside Kidventure and Family Ministries teams to equip parents beyond the Sunday Experience
- Executing Spiritual Growth processes for kids such as Yes to Christ Sundays
- Recruit and train new volunteers while creating environments for volunteers to grow
- Meet regularly with team members to develop, train, and cast vision – includes some Saturday meetings
- Connect with parents and kids so they feel valued and cared for
- Executing Kids Care Ministries
- Work alongside Kids Coordinator to communicate/create and implement social media plan for Kidventure
Required Experience:
- Follower of Jesus
- Minimum of 2 years experience in early education (church, school, work)
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, training and leading volunteer teams
- Self-directed with ability to manage multiple projects successfully
- Demonstrated experience developing a vision, creating goals, and measuring growth
- Commitment to the process of emotional health and self-care in all areas of their life
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development or Elementary Education
- History of leading kids in a large church or large organization (1,000 )
- Working in a multi-site church
- Bachelor's Degree
