We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable clerk to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare & perform check runs
- Input invoices & obtain any necessary approvals
- Monitor A/P aging to ensure timely payments
- Report weekly cash outflows to management
- Set up new vendors in ERP system
- Maintain & reconcile employee credit card reports
- Print & file year-end 1099's for required vendors
- Maintain both paper & electronic files in an organized manner
- Work with coworkers & vendors on any discrepancies, maintaining a professional relationship
- Assist with monthly closing process
- Reconcile limited bank accounts
- Maintain strong accounts payable procedures
- Backup to other accounting/administrative roles
- Other applicable projects or duties as assigned
Skills:
- 2 years of proven working experience in an Accounts Payable or similar role, or equivelent education
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel & Outlook mostly)
- Experience with Sage products a plus
- Great attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, & strong organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently & collaboratively as a team member
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills to resolve day to day issues
- Customer service orientation
Our current AP is retiring after over 25 years of service. We are willing to train the right candidate underneath our current AP, & likely for a little while after in a semi-retired capacity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
